When you come to me for the first time, an initial consultation will take place. We have over 1 hour to do this. Below is an overview of what you can expect at the first appointment.

1. Consultation - I will record your personal details in my own administration. This is for insurance and to create a treatment file.

2. Anamnesis - Regardless of whether you ended up with me, with or without a referral, I will always ask questions about the health problem. This allows me to create an image, which helps me with the examination and suspected diagnosis.

3. Examination - For head and neck complaints, a physical examination takes place. I will look extensively at the head / face, cervical spine (CWK), thoracic spine (TWK) and shoulder girdle. By means of palpation, clinical tests, movement results, measurements etc. I eventually reach my suspected orofacial physiotherapeutic diagnosis. At the end of the anamnesis and investigation, I will discuss the findings with you. I think it is important that you fully understand what is going on. This gives you a better insight into your complaints so that you can learn to deal with them better. This is also beneficial for the treatment.

4. (None) Indication for treatment - If there are no details / abnormalities after the anamnesis and examination, a treatment plan will be drawn up. I will discuss this with you and if you agree, I will take you further into consideration. If there are deviations in the anamnesis and / or the examination that do not fit the clinical picture, I will indicate this. If necessary I will send you back to your doctor for further examination.
